We will return to the hotel for a warm breakfast and then visit the holy temple, Bindhyabasini temple. It is a temple of Goddess Bhagwati, the incarnation of Kali. Bindhyabasini temple is considered one of the oldest temples in Pokhara. There are small temples of other gods and goddesses like Saraswati Mandir, Shiva Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, and Ganesha Mandir on the premises. Residents of Miruwa believed that Goddess Bindhyabasini was the replacement for the eighth child (Lord Krishna) of Devaki and Vasudeva. When Kansa exchanged Lord Krishna and herself, Goddess Bindhyabasini appeared as a Devi.

Head towards the Peace Pagoda of Pokhara

The Peace Pagoda of Pokhara is one of the eighty Peace Pagodas of the World. It is located on Anadu Hill, a former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee, in Pokhara. This hill features the second tallest statue of Lord Shiva after the Kailashnath Mahadev Statue, where Hindu pilgrims from all around the globe pay their visit every year. There are many small shops where you can buy flowers and other necessary things required for worship.

Heading towards Davi's Falls

Davis Falls is a waterfall that has attracted visitors from all around the world. You can see the real beauty of this waterfall if you pay a visit during the monsoon season. The water forms a tunnel after reaching the bottom and runs 100 feet below ground level. The tunnel is approximately 500 feet deep. The waterfall is named Davis Fall because when a Swiss male-female couple went swimming, the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow on July 31, 1961. Her body was rescued three days later in the Phusre River. So, in memory of that female, her father wished to name it "David's Falls" after her daughter's name but changed it to Devi's Fall. In the Nepali language, it is called Patale Chhango, which means Underworld’s waterfall. The roaring sound of the waterfall while hitting the bottom makes you stay far away from the waterfall.
