Sarangkot Sunrise Tour

We will begin our Pokhara day tour by picking up guests from the hotel early in the morning. We will go to the top of Sarangkot via private vehicle. Sarangkot is a popular hill located on the western side of Pokhara. It lies at an altitude of 1600 m. Sarangkot is famous for the best sunrise view, so you will witness the best sunrise view of your life. The reflection of golden sunlight on mountain ranges like Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre, Manasalu, and Dhaulagiri adds to the beauty of the sunrise. Sarangkot is getting more popular day by day due to being the best paragliding location in the world. You can enjoy the view of Pokhara Valley while appreciating its natural beauty. If you want to hike to Sarangkot, it only takes 90 minutes to 1.5 hours.

Return to the Hotel and stop by Bindyabasini Temple

We will descend to Pokhara Valley after enjoying the beautiful view of sunrise from the hill station. We will return to the hotel for a warm breakfast and then visit the holy temple, Bindhyabasini temple. It is a temple of Goddess Bhagwati, the incarnation of Kali. Bindhyabasini temple is considered one of the oldest temples in Pokhara. There are small temples of other gods and goddesses like Saraswati Mandir, Shiva Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, and Ganesha Mandir on the premises. Residents of Miruwa believed that Goddess Bindhyabasini was the replacement for the eighth child (Lord Krishna) of Devaki and Vasudeva. When Kansa exchanged Lord Krishna and herself, Goddess Bindhyabasini appeared as a Devi.

Head towards the Peace Pagoda of Pokhara

The Peace Pagoda of Pokhara is one of the eighty Peace Pagodas of the World. It is located on Anadu Hill, a former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee, in Pokhara. Located at a height of 1100 meters, it, it was built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji monk Morioka Sonin with local supporters under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fuji on September 12, 1973. We will take you to the stupa via vehicle, where you can enjoy peace and silence among the chaos.

Next Stop: Pumdikot Dada

Pumdikot Danda is located 3.8 km away from the Peace Pagoda. This hill is famous for hiking and is also a religious place. We will reach Pumdikot Dada within 10 minutes from Peace Pagoda. This hill features the second tallest statue of Lord Shiva after the Kailashnath Mahadev Statue, where Hindu pilgrims from all around the globe pay their visit every year. There are many small shops where you can buy flowers and other necessary things required for worship.

Heading towards Davi's Falls

Davis Falls is a waterfall that has attracted visitors from all around the world. You can see the real beauty of this waterfall if you pay a visit during the monsoon season. The water forms a tunnel after reaching the bottom and runs 100 feet below ground level. The tunnel is approximately 500 feet deep. The waterfall is named Davis Fall because when a Swiss male-female couple went swimming, the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow on July 31, 1961. Her body was rescued three days later in the Phusre River. So, in memory of that female, her father wished to name it "David's Falls" after her daughter's name but changed it to Devi's Fall. In the Nepali language, it is called Patale Chhango, which means Underworld’s waterfall. The roaring sound of the waterfall while hitting the bottom makes you stay far away from the waterfall.

Into the Gupteswor Mahadev Cave & Explore the Phewa Taal

Then, we will pay a visit to the Gupteswor Mahadev cave, which is also known as “Bhalu Dulo.” It is the longest cave in Nepal because it extends up to a distance of 2000 meters. Its existence has been noticed since the 16th century, and the entrance for this cave was constructed in 1991 A.D. Visitors prefer this cave for listening to the thunder of Davis Falls.

We will enter the lakeside area in the evening. You will worship in the Tal Barahi Temple by boating in the Phewa Lake. If you are interested in canoeing or Kayaking, we can arrange it for you. After that, we will explore Lakeside, where there are plenty of street food stalls, a play area, different handicraft and souvenir shops, cafes, and restaurants. You can also enjoy Sandhya Aarati on the Lake side of Pokhara.

Drop-off at the hotel

We will drop you back at the hotel at the end of the day. You can enjoy the rest of the evening by yourself.
