• Bhote Koshi gorge

This gorge is popular for bungee jumping in Nepal at 160 metres. To reach the Bhote Koshi Gorge, you can take a bus or taxi from Kathmandu. The path will follow the Araniko Highway, crossing the Friendship Bridge. After that, you will reach the suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi gorge. 

• Pokhara

Pokhara is the tourism capital of Nepal and is popular for the tower bungee and swing. You can see the tower bungee only in Pokhara. to reach the bungee spot, you can take bus to pokhara from kathmandu. From Pokhara, you can book a cab to reach the jumping site. 

• Kali Gandaki river gorge bungee spot

The suspension bridge over the river gorge is one of the most popular jumping spots. It is located in the Kusma of Nepal at a height of 228 meters. You can get there by bus or by taxi.

Safety and requirements

While going bungee jumping, participants should not have heart conditions, high blood pressure, neck or leg injuries, or be pregnant. It can be very risky. 

The standard weight limit for a person going to do bungee jumping in Nepal is between 40 kg (88 lbs) and 100 kg (220 lbs). The activity is kid-friendly, but the minimum age is 14, and the person below 18 needs parental consent and to sign a liability form. 

Always follow the instructions of the trained professionals and communicate any confusion or concerns you may have. For safety purposes, avoid eating heavy meals or consuming alcohol before the jump. 

What to wear and bring

For the bungee jumping, wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe, tight-fitting sports shoes. No additional clothes are required, as it is not a multiday adventure sport. And bring a form of ID and travel insurance papers that cover adventure sports.

Extra expenses

• Transport

The transportation is not covered in the package. So, if you want the transportation to be arranged by us, then it will cost extra. The cost goes like NPR 1,000-2,000 from Pokhara to Kushma. If you are starting from Kathmandu, then the cost of the Kathmandu to Pokhara for the Kushma bungee jump is also needed. 

• Photos and videos

The other additional cost in bungee jumping is photos and videos. Bungee jumping packages do not include photos or videos. So, you have to ask if you want the photos and videos. It may cost extra pennies.  

The cost goes from around NPR 1500 to NPR 2000, covering the videography and photography. The costs are all the same whether you go to the Bhotekoshi River or the Hemja Pokhara side. 

• Other Sightseeings

This is purely additional, which you can choose to ignore. After bungee jumping or before bungee jumping, if you want to explore the nearby surroundings, then you have to add the activities to the package. It is pretty common that all the agencies don’t include it in their regulars. The cost may vary depending upon the location you choose to explore. 

• Tandem Jumps

Tandem jumps are the activity you can add along with the bungee jumping in Nepal. The travelers rarely do the tandem jump after bungee jumping, but some adventurers choose to do it. The cost of the tandem jump is around $20,000-$25,000 in Everest and approximately $1,200 in Pokhara. The cost of the handcam video ($100), handcam video + photos ($120), and outside photos or videos ($199-280) are not included in the package price. 

• Souvenirs

If you want to buy the souvenir, you are free to buy it. But the cost of the souvenirs is generally not included in the package price. So, you have to manage the expenses on your own, or you can choose not to buy too. Feel free to do window shopping in case you may find the perfect gift for yourself or your loved ones.
