Pickup from hotel and scenic drive to Charaundi

We will pick you from your hotel, and we will drive to the starting point of rafting, Charaundi. The route goes through lush green hills, terraced fields, small villages and beautiful forests. On the way, you will get to see the cascading waterfalls and views of the trishuli river below.

Arrival at starting point of rafting and pre-rafting briefing

Your rafting guides will welcome you to Charaundi. You will be briefed by the rafting guide, covering important topics like safety briefing, paddling techniques, safety protocols, and what to expect during the rafting session. 

After that, you will be equipped with life jackets, helmets and paddles. Our rafting guide will ensure that everyone is comfortable and prepared for the rafting. Therefore, you don't have to worry about it. 

Rafting session

After all the necessary preparations done, we, along with our guide, will launch into the Trishuli River. The gorges, lush hills, and nearby villages on the river banks will be all around us as we paddle downstream. Sometimes, even the views of the himalayas can be seen. 

During the journey, you may encounter various rapids with different intensity.  Besides navigating the rapids, you will have a moment to appreciate natural environment around you. There are some sections where you just float along the river and enjoy the peaceful scenery. 

Have Lunch

Following the thrilling first part of trishuli rafting package itinerary, we will move to the side of the Trishuli River at a scenic spot for lunch break. We will choose a serene place surrounded by trees and with views of the river. There, you can relax and enjoy the sounds of river fowing and the chirping of birds, along with the delicious lunch. 

Continue rafting to the end point (Kuringhat or Jabang Khola)

We will continue our rafting after lunch break. The river that we are going to raft on has mix of rapids and calm sections.  At this last section of rafting, you will enjoy the final rapids and soak in the last views of the white water of trishuli. 

As we approach the ending point, you can see wider river banks and views of the distant hills and valleys. After that, we will end our rafting journey, and our guide will help pack the equipments. 

Drive back to Kathmandu

After completing all the rafting sessions, we will drive bac to kathmandu. The return journey follows the same route back to the bustling city. The scenery is beautiful during return journey as sun begin to set and the hills and valleys are bathed in warm and golden light. 

Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be dropped off at your hotel. This marks the official end of the journey.

The overall Trishuli river rafting one day cost for foreigners is USD 25 per person. If you are an indian citizen looking for adventurous journey, then it will cost you only INR 1800. Per adult For Nepali citizen, the Trishuli rafting package is NPR 1800 per person. 

The trishuli rafting cost depends on the itinerary chosen. There are other trishuli river itineraries with 2 days and 3 days that have different package prices. Also, you can do various other activities along with rafting in trishuli. 

Best time and season

The best time to go rafting in the Trishuli River is generally from April to october. During these months, the flow of river is good. 

In addition, the optimal months for rafting is during the months like March to may and September to November. The months march to may are a spring season and the snow melt from the himalayas increases the riverflow. September to November is autumn season, characterized by mild temperatures and moderate water levels. 

Rafting in other seasons, like monsoon and winter, is possible. However, the rivers become more challenging due to heavy rainfall, increased water level and stronger water currents during monsoons. 

During the winter season, the flow of the river is also less, with milder rapids. Also, the water temperatures are colder, making it unsuitable for rafting in white water. 

Food or meal availability

Only packed lunch is included in the trishuli river rafting price. The breakfast options, snacks and refreshment options are available at the different stops during the drive and before the rafting. The breakfast options can be Pancakes, bread, porridge, brown potatoes, jam, and so on. 

Besides it, the snacks options that you can buy are energy bars, cookies, tea, coffee, water, fresh fruits and so on. While the lunch will be packed and served in the riverside location,. 

Difficulty level

The difficulty level of rafting in the river is easy to moderate. The classification of the difficulty level can be of two types, depending on the rapid class. The class II rapids is straightforward and manageable. The waves are small and may include some obstacles. It is a bet for beginners. 

However, the Class III rapids are a little more challenging than the Class II rapids. It features large waves and more complex activities. It is best for the experienced ones. So by combining these two situations, the overall journey is moderate for beginners, while it is easy for experienced ones.
