Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Katthmandu, our company representative will greet you with graalands. then, you will be transferred to the hotel where you are staying overnight. Our company representative will assist you in checking in at the hotel. 

This day, no activities are scheduled. so you can enjoy it on your own or you can acclimtize in the hotel room and take rest. if your energy permits, you can visit places around the hotel and do some shopping there.

This day is going to be your best day in Kathmandu Valley. We will have breakfast and head towards our first destination of the tour, Kathmandu Durbar Square. You will explore the unique architectural styles and intricate carvings. Some of the places that you will explore are Taleju Temple, Kumari Ghar, Jagannath Temple, Nautalle Durbar, and so on. 

After that, we will head to Swayambhunath Stupa. This site is also known as Monkey Temple. From the stupa, you can enjoy the panoramic views of the entire Kathmandu city. The tour continues with the visit to Bouddhanath stupa. You can explore things like the architectural style, the temples, the peaceful surroundings, and so on.

Following that, we will move on to the Pashupatinath temple. It is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated on the bank of the Bagmati River. If time permits, we can go to other places also.

Early in the morning, we will have breakfast and head towards the Tribhuvan International airport. From there, we will take a short flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. the flight is scenic and offers stunning views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Machapuchare peaks. 

Upon reaching Pokhara, we will take vehicle to the Dhampus or Ghandruk. The journey from Pokhara to Dhampus is shorter than that to Ghandruk from Pokhara.

The Pokhara to Dhampus distance is approximately 25.6 kilometers, whereas the distance from Pokhara to Ghandruk is around 40 km. However, both journeys offer the scenic drive through terraced fields, traditional villages, and breathtaking mountain vistas. We will stay in one of the guest houses there.

Essential Info

Best time to do the tour 

You can go on Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dhampus, tour throughout the year. Monsoons and winters may block the views. Spring (March to April) and autumn (October to November) are the perfect seasons to go on this tour. As a part of the tour, it also leads to the Terai region in Nepal, which is way too hot & humid. Therefore, spring/autumn makes the tour pleasant. Since this trek is short and you will be moving around at a low altitude, you can plan for any time during the year. 

Difficulty Level

The tour does not involve any difficulty walking. You will be driving from one place to another most of the time. You do have to walk a lot while exploring the monuments. Likewise, the hike to Dhampus can get a little tiring because you will walk on a sloppy path, but it's doable. There is no need for any previous hiking experience. Anyone can do a Dhampus hike.

Accommodation and Food

During the tour, you will stay overnight in three-star hotels or nice tourist-standard hotels. The hotels are equipped with all modern amenities and a good WiFi connection. The Kathmandu Pokhara Tour package involves twin-sharing rooms, but if you want a single, then we can arrange that for you. The washroom will be clean and attached to the room. For the Dhampus and Sarangkot, the facilities will be a little less than Pokhara and Kathmandu. 

For meals, you will get breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can find cuisine from all around the world in all the cities. We do recommend that you taste Nepali dishes too and enjoy authentic Nepali food as much as you can.
