Essential Info

Nepal family adventure tour cost/price

The cost of the family adventure tour ranges from $1500 to $3,000 per person. The price of the tour depends on the season you are going for, the tour duration, accommodation facilities, group size and the activities that you are going to do.

Permits and passes

The permit and passes that you will need while going on the Nepal family adventure tour are Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card and national park/conservation area permits. Since you are going for the adventure tour, a TIMS card and two separate national/conservation area permits for the Annapurna region and Chitwan National Park are needed.

Accommodations and Food

The accommodations are generally in 2-4-star hotels and tea houses throughout the trip. The normal teahouses and hotels offer the basic facility to luxury facilities, depending on your preferences and budget. The foods in the teahouses and hotels are hygienic and nutritious. You can get a variety of food options with a mix of Nepali and Western menu options.

Best time to go

The best time to go on an adventure tour in Nepal with family is during the spring and autumn season. In these seasons, the temperature is mild, the weather is stable, and there are very few chances of rainfall. Due to these reasons, spring and autumn are considered as the ideal time compared to the hot summer and freezing winter seasons.

The summer season is bad for family tour and adventures because the frequent rainfall during the monsoon season makes the trail slippery and muddy. The winter is not ideal for the family because the temperature is cold and the kids may fall sick.

Difficulty level

The difficulty level of the adventure tour is easy to moderate. The moderate level difficulty is due to walking demands of the Ghandruk and Dhampus village trek. But, kids and elderly people can face those challenges smoothly. The adventure tour is especially designed for families with beginners, children and elderly people who want a little thrill and family time. But, before making any decision, consult the doctor once.

Tips to make the Journey Smooth

  • Pack light and only bring essentials that are needed for the tour
  • Always drink boiled water. Make sure that your kids also do the same.
  • Flights are affordable for babies within Nepal
  • Pack layers of clothes for the varying temperatures
  • Bring motion sickness medication with you
  • Expect bus delays and be flexible with transportation
  • Bring snacks, chocolates and food items for the kids
  • Bring power bank and universal adapter with you
