Phase 1: Meet up at the Pokhara Airport 

Our representative will wait for you at the Pokhara airport. If you want, we can also provide airport drop and pickup service. Upon reaching the airport, you can contact our representative through the contact number that was provided to you while booking.

Phase 2: Flight briefing with captain introduction and boarding 

Before the heli tour begins, there will be a small briefing session, and the flight instructor will inform you about a few safety rules. You are free to ask any questions during the briefing. You will also get to know about the aircraft and seat planning. Later, you will meet the pilot. He will introduce himself, and the boarding process begins.

Phase 3: Flight to the Annapurna Base Camp/ Annapurna Sanctuary 

From Pokhara airport, the helicopter takes off, offering a breathtaking aerial view of the city and surrounding hills & mountains. Gradually with the increase in altitude, the Annapurna mountain range, along with lush rolling green hills come into our vision. We will leave the city behind and fly over scattered mountain villages to Annapurna Base Camp.

You will fly in the Annapurna Conservation Area and enjoy stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains. After the 30 minutes of flight, you will reach the Annapurna Base Camp and land at 4,130 meters.

Phase 4: Land at Annapurna Base Camp and breakfast

After the dramatic flight, you will land at the ABC surrounded by captivating mountains. You will have a delicious breakfast overlooking the gorgeous landscape. Explore the base camp and get to see the lifestyle of the locals. 

Take pictures, fill your heart with blissful views, and get ready to fly back to Pokhara after 30 minutes. We will not be spending more than 30 minutes at the base camp because it increases the chances of acute mountain sickness (AMS).

Phase 5: Return Flight to the Pokhara Airport 

Once again, swirling above the Annapurna Sanctuary, you will enjoy the final aerial mountain views and scenery before landing at Pokhara airport. You will reach Pokhara airport in less than 30 minutes.

Phase 6: Customer review regarding the flight 

It is a small review session, where our crew will ask you about the light experience. You have to fill a short form regarding the heli tour. You can do the Annapurna Base Camp Helicopter Tour with landing almost all around the year. However, monsoon weather can ruin the heli tour because of unstable weather and unclear views. 

Spring (March to April) and autumn (October to November) is the perfect time to enjoy a heli tour in the Annapurna region. The breathtaking aerial views of the striking Himalayan mountains and gorgeous sceneries make the heli tour heavenly.

  • Q1. How long is the ride from Pokhara to Annapurna base camp?

    It takes around half an hour from Pokhara to reach Annapurna Base Camp. It may also take less or more as per the weather condition.

  • There will be a maximum of 1 to 3 persons in the chopper. 

  • Yes, it is safe to fly to Annapurna Base Camp by helicopter. Our heli flight takes off only after proper inspection. Likewise, we regularly maintain the fleets, and the chopper is flown by experienced pilots.
