Panch Pokhari trek is a sacred lake that lies in the northern part of the Sindhupalchowk district of Nepal. This lake is also the 9th highest wetland in the world. Panch Pokhari means “ five sacred Hindu lakes' ' as well as the Buddhist pilgrims. Panch Pokhari trek is a newly opened and unexplored, pristine, and best-kept secret of nature. Panch Pokhari trek offers an amazing natural beauty of snowy peaks, inexplicable sceneries, rich ethnic cultures, and indigenous people with beautiful cultures and practices. The stunning mountain views and pristine five sacred lakes along with exotic biodiversity make this trek a must-do one in Nepal.

Panch Pokhari Trek began with a scenic and pleasant drive from Kathmandu to Simpal village. The road passes alongside the rivers, village settlements, streams, green hills, and beautiful natural sceneries. Furthermore, you’ll start trekking towards the Kami Kharka where the landscape is untouched, and luring signifies the freshened scenery. On the way, you’ll get a chance to experience the culture of the Newari community, Brahmin, Chhetri, and the ethical Gurung community. The major highlights of the Pachpokhari trek are countryside forest, mid-hills, glaciers, rivers, streams, stunning mountain views, valleys, and villages along the trail. Once you reach Panchpokhari, it will reward you with the beautiful pristine views of five sacred lakes along with majestic mountain views of the Gauri Shankar range, Dorje Lakla, Jugal Hima, and Rolwing Himal range. It is probably going to be a tiring but amazing day for you to land in Kathmandu. One of our airport representatives will welcome you to the airport and guide you to the hotel. You can enjoy the rest of the day as per your wish and explore the surroundings. In the evening, we have organized a welcome dinner for you, during that you will meet with the rest of the team members.

An extra day in Kathmandu to introduce you to the Nepali lifestyle and culture and also give you time to do final preparation for the trek. The day begins early, and you will go on a guided tour of Swayambhunath, the famous Monkey Temple. 

From here, the tour guide will take you to the holy Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhnath Stupa. Both of these temples hold significant religious values for Hindus and Buddhists. You will end the tour at Kathmandu Durbar Square, visiting the palace and courtyards.

Later in the afternoon, we will introduce you to the trek guide, who will give you a short briefing about the trek and help you with the final preparation for the trek.

We take a drive to the small village of Simple relishing the countryside view throughout the ride. On our way to Simple, we pass through Chautara, the headquarters of the Sindhupalchowk district. As we drive further, alongside different rivers and streams, the settlement starts to get sparse and green hills dominate the landscape. The drive to Simpal is only going to add thrill to the already excited you. Overnight at the home-stay in Simple.

We begin our first day of trek gradually ascending to Sano Okhareni. We then continue to trek on a steep trail through the densely forested path. We may also encounter some wild animals like mountain deer, langur monkeys, and various species of birds. Crossing several smaller settlements on the way, we reach Kami Kharka for our overnight stay. Overnight at a tented camp in Kami Kharka.

Today we walk through the flat trail at first then enter the forested path filled with rhododendron, oaks, pine, and juniper trees. After about 5 to 6 hours of walking through the forest area, we get the sight of nomads' houses for cattle on our way to Pauwa Bas. Walking through the silent and tranquil forest, we arrive in Pauwa Bas. Overnight at a tented camp in Pauwa Bas.

Leaving Pauwa Bas behind, we ascend through a steep trail for about 3 hours. We then steeply descend for about one and a half hours through the forested trail. It is a quiet walk through an uninhabited area. Relishing the amazing view of mountains on our way, we arrive in Hile Bhanjyang. Overnight at Tented camp in Hile Bhanjyang.

We start to trek towards Panch Pokhari which is only about 4 hours of walking. We first ascend through a steep trail then gently descend through the forested trail to Nasyampati from where we get an amazing mountain view. We then continue to climb up through rocky hills to finally arrive in Panch Pokhari. The holy lakes of Panch Pokhari do not only serve as a pilgrimage site of the Hindu and Buddhist devotees but are equally beautiful scenically. The temple in Panch Pokhari is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight at Tented camp in Panch Pokhari.

Today, we start early morning to catch the sun rising against the Himalayas. We hike to the top of Panch Pokhari for a panoramic view of Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Jugal Himal Range, Ganesh Himal Range, Rolwaling Himal Range, and Langtang Himal Range. After spending some quality time, we return back to Panch Pokhari and head towards Tupi Danda through steep trails. Overnight at tented camp in Tupi Danda.

Today, we start early morning to catch the sun rising against the Himalayas. We hike to the top of Panch Pokhari for a panoramic view of Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Jugal Himal Range, Ganesh Himal Range, Rolwaling Himal Range, and Langtang Himal Range. After spending some quality time, we return back to Panch Pokhari and head towards Tupi Danda through steep trails. Overnight at tented camp in Tupi Danda.

For the last day of our trek, we head towards Melamchi through terraced farm fields alongside the Indrawati River. We also come across a hydroelectricity project on our way to Tipeni. Upon reaching Melamchi, we drive back to the capital in our private jeep and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, you will leave for your home. Our airport representative will drop you at the airport with our last good wishes.
